Publix Lakeland Division Distributes $673,000 to Central Florida Non-Profits!

Publix2015 Publix Super Markets Holiday Campaign Board Lakeland Division distributed more than $673,000 from its Food For All® 2015 fundraiser to Central Florida non-profits today! Publix customers and associates contributed to the campaign by purchasing contribution coupons in $1, $3, or $5 amounts @ checkout stands.

“Our stores in Central Florida are so pleased to be able to participate in this annual fundraiser to fight hunger and promote self-advocacy in our own backyards,” said Brian West, Publix media and community relations manager – Lakeland division. “The Food For All campaign makes it simple for customers and associates to give back. Every year the campaign makes a significant impact in the communities we serve.”

The Food For All campaign took place Dec. 3-24, 2015. Publix customers and associates contributed to the campaign by purchasing contribution coupons in $1, $3, or $5 amounts that were scanned during the checkout process and added to the purchase total. Food For All is a program of making change®, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that has partnered with Publix since 1988 to create a successful campaign.

“We are honored to help facilitate this important Food For All fundraiser with Publix,” said Dave McConnell, president and CEO of making change. “Through this campaign Publix is helping the communities it serves and those in need. This is an important display of Publix’s commitment to corporate citizenship.”
